Festa AMG Maverick

Best for:  Homes 500-2200 sq. ft. with a sump crock and drain-tile system or porous sub-slab

Compares to: RP145, XP201, FR100

Recommended pipe size: 3” to 4”

The Festa AMG Maverick fan is specifically designed for loose, porous sub-slab material (such as clean gravel) or projects where sump crock/drain-tile depressurization is possible. The recommended structural footprints for the Festa AMG Maverick are between 500-2200 sq. ft. The fan is both quiet and effective, with customers appreciating that it operates at less than 60dB (meaning quieter than your average face-to-face conversation). Pairing moderate suction and moderate volume, the Maverick is sort of the jack of all trades. We have found this to be the most commonly ordered fan in Festa’s product line and that can be attributed to lowering radon levels below 4.0 pCi/L. The RadonAway comparison to the AMG Maverick would be the RP-145 in which the Maverick outperforms in almost every category as seen below.

Festa AMG Eagle

Best for: Homes without drain-tile that are 500-2000 sq. ft. with compact or moist sub-slabs.

Compares to: Radonaway GP501, GP40, GX4

Recommended pipe size: 3”

The Festa AMG® Eagle radon mitigation fan is the "go-to" fan for mitigating tight soils that need high suction and better field extension The Eagle boasts incredible reliability and longevity in the midst of mitigating tough, compact soils such as a sand and gravel mix, clay, or other wet/dense sub-slab conditions. If you are working to solve a customer’s tough radon issue, and you need a fan that is both strong and has the ability to create dynamic vacuum pressure, the Eagle is definitely the best option available.  In states where sump systems are not common, this is a very popular radon fan because you will be pulling directly from the soil. The AMG Eagle should only be utilized with 3” PVC piping due to its main focus on generating suction.

Festa AMG Eagle Extreme

Best for: Moderate sized (500-2000 sq. ft.) homes with extremely tight or moist sub-slab material. Great for multiple suction points and double-stacking.

Compares to: Nothing truly compares to the Eagle Extreme with the amount of air volume and suction it creates. But to give you something to compare it against, we will use the Radonaway GX-5.

Recommended pipe size: 3” to 4”

The Festa AMG® Eagle Extreme radon mitigation fan is the big brother of the Festa AMG® Eagle. It was engineered to take on the toughest to mitigate homes. It's a perfect radon fan for very high suction, high flow radon mitigation projects. This fan is ideal for moderately sized homes between 500-2000 SQFT with extremely compacted, moist sub slab material such as clay or sand. The Eagle Extreme has a very high suction rate capacity, and many mitigators find it valuable when having to dig a suction pit in houses that don’t have drain tile. The Festa AMG Eagle Extreme has a max pressure of 5” w.g., which allows it to draw air from the tightest sub-slab materials. The radon fan can be used for both residential and commercial projects that are in need of a powerful solution, perfect for multiple suction points and situations where fans need to be double stacked.

Festa AMG Eagle Extreme Radon Fan

Festa AMG Legend

Picture
Best for: Larger sized (2000-5000 sq. ft.) homes with a porous sub-slab or drain-tile. The Festa AMG Legend is a high flow radon mitigation fan designed to be installed on homes with a loose sub-slab material or drain-tile system. Can be used as an upgrade from the Maverick to ensure the radon levels are brought down as low as they can possibly go.

Recommended pipe size: 4”

Compares to: RP265, FR160, HP220

The legend fan is specifically designed for high air flow applications. This fan is perfect for homes that have a porous sub-slab material like crushed stone or gravel. It is also good for situations where there is a lot of available air beneath the slab - that is, a more dense layer of gravel, large footprints, larger diameter drain-tile, etc. This is the “go to” fan for larger residential structures with high radon levels (above 20 pCi/L). Use with 4-inch pipe (rather than 3-inch pipe) for best results.

Best for: Larger sized (1500-4000 sq. ft.) homes with extremely compact or moist sub-slabs. Great for large homes or commercial buildings. multiple suction points, and double stacking.

Recommended Pipe Size: 3" or 4"

Compares to: Rn4

Traditionally, radon fans were designed for either high flow or high suction applications - the Legend Extreme is designed to be the best of both worlds with a slight lean toward the high flow application. This fan is great for tighter soil applications where more airflow is needed (potentially a dense sub-slab layer of sand) or situations where multiple slabs are present and/or multiple drop points are needed.
